Where we get our energy from, and when ?
Our metabolism is a complicated “motor” which can use different types of fuel depending on the exertion. Carbohydrates and fat and in certain situations proteins are available as energy suppliers. At the same time they are the main nutrients in our food. Calcium is used as a “sparking plug” in the process providing energy.
For this reason, the right diet and a well-calculated training are important for ideal utilisation of our energy and for a maximum performance.
Both types of fuel supplement each other in our energy metabolism
