Why is drinking so important?
60 % of our body consists of water. We can survive several weeks without food, but only
a few days without water. In sports, the body starts sweating quite a bit,… and that is
very good, because we control our heat balance through sweating, and thus prevent
heat exhaustion. But it is very important to balance the water loss during the exertion
at this stage.
A lack of water has a dramatic influence on our performance.
