Fat in our food
Fat consists of fatty acids and glycerine (triglycerides). The fatty acids are differentiated according to their length (short-chain, medium-chain, long-chain), and according to whether they are saturated or unsaturated.
Reducing fat properly
Little animal fat (cholesterol!)
Watch out for hidden fat, such as in sausage, cheese, chocolate
More vegetable fat (such as oil in salad)
Use little spreading and frying fat (coated pans!)
Eat more low-fat products rich in carbohydrates
